The Thunder Bay Kings with their first setback in exhibition play as the high scoring Current River Storm take the opener of this weekend home and home set.

Adam Maenpaa had a five point night (2G, 3A) in the victory Friday with teammates Johnathan Beaucage and Jett Mintenko each registering four points.

Nathan Girvin collected a goal and an assist as Nathan Vita had the other Kings goal.

These teams will face off again on Saturday night in Current River.
