In recognition of National Indigenous Peoples Day, the Lakehead Junior Hockey League proudly acknowledges and celebrates the history, heritage, resilience, and diversity of First Nations, Inuit, and Métis across Canada.

The Bandits, Northern Hawks and Storm play their home games on the traditional territory of the Fort William First Nation, signatory to the Robinson Superior Treaty of 1850.

The Elks play on the traditional territory of the Robinson-Superior Treaty, home to the Red Rock Indian Band, the Anishnaabek, and the Métis People.

The Falcons are honoured to be on the traditional territory of the Anishinabewaki.

As a league, we continue to learn and educate ourselves towards reconciliation.
