The schedule is out for the Lakehead Junior Hockey League.
The Junior B circuit features five teams that will each play 24 games.
Action begins Oct. 6 as the Current River Storm face off with the Nipigon Elks.
The Thunder Bay Northern Hawks begin defending their league championship on Oct. 7 at the Fort William Gardens against the Elks.
The Thunder Bay Bandits will make the Tournament Centre their home rink this season as they play their home opener against the Schreiber Falcons on Oct. 14. That same evening, the Storm engage in their home opener against the Elks.
The Falcons will be the last team to open their home schedule as they will go head-to-head with the Bandits on Nov. 4.
A Showcase event will happen in December, though specific details of the event have yet to be released.
All five teams will qualify for the playoffs with the fourth and fifth seeds playing a best-of-three quarterfinal.
The winner will face off with the top seed in the league semifinals with the other two teams engaging in a best of seven series.
The league winner advances to the Central Canada Cup.
The LJHL began operating in 1993.
