For the 12th time in their history, Thunder Bay Northern Hawks are champions of Hockey Northwest Ontario.

The Northern Hawks wrapped up their best-of seven series on Sunday on home ice with a 8-3 victory in Game 6 vs the Schreiber Falcons. It was the first home win in the series which saw the teams exchange wins on their opponents ice.

Schreiber, who captured the 2022-23 regular season crown, will join the Northern Hawks in the first Central Canada Cup scheduled to begin on Thursday at the Tournament Centre.
